COURSE OVERVIEW

With 12 years experience in culinary training, Prue Leith Chefs Academy offers this full time thorough course to prepare you for a career as a professional chef. The course offers classic French training in hot, cold and pastry kitchens and specialist subjects Pan African cuisine, spice route studies, finance and kitchen management. Clive Torr, Cape wine master offers the Cape Wine Ambassadors course.

It is an intensive course, from a theoretical and practical point of view. Our on site Restaurant, Leith's, is rated in the top 100 in South Africa, and is also the platform for practical experience for the student.

City&Guilds IVQ in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts (7065) are written alongside our examinations so that the learner can achieve national framework qualifications which allows for easier travel work experiences. The lecturing team are all specialists in their fields and deliver this highly sought after qualification with passion and dedication.
