With 17 years experience in culinary training, Prue Leith Chefs Academy offers this full time course to prepare you for a career as a professional chef.

The course offers classic French training in hot, cold and pastry kitchens as well as specialist subjects such as: Pan African cuisine, International Cuisine, Finance and Kitchen Management.

In addition to this, a full service module is offered with restaurant practical hours included. The Cape Wine Academy delivers an ‘Introduction to South African Wines’ and a ‘Wines of the World” certificate. It is an intensive course, from a theoretical and practical point of view. Our onsite restaurant is rated in the top 100 in South Africa and is also the platform for practical experience for the student.

City & Guilds exams are written alongside Prue Leith exams so that the student can achieve both a national framework qualification and an internationally recognised qualification which allows for easier travel work experiences. The lecturing teams are all specialists in their fields and deliver this highly sought after qualification with passion and dedication.
