Bollywood
Prue Leith had a Bollywood event at the Academy to compliment the Indian tradition way of cooking. The students have a great time dressing up and cooked there favorite dishes.
Students in Action - 2008
At Prue Leith we believe that the best way to understand food theory is to put it into practice as soon as possible. In the 1st Commis semester practical takes place in the demonstration kitchen and in the 2nd Commis semester in the upstairs restaurant kitchen.
Halloween - 2007
Trick or treat? Students and staff changed out of their chef’s whites and into some more colourful attire, with witches, zombies, skeletons and even Hugh Heffner and two playgirl bunnies attending the teambuilding.
Student Drumming Workshop - Prue Leith Week
Students met the Academy Patron Prue Leith during a drumming workshop in September 2007. Beating your drum in sync with fourty other people proved to be quite a lesson in teamwork.
Student Braai - 2007
Orientation week always starts with a braai (summer) or potjiekos (winter) to welcome the new students to the Academy. The 2nd Commis host the day and they have a lot of fun taking their cooking skills outdoors.
