Seventy years after starting its life as Johannesburg’s first coal-fired power station, the forum | turbine hall provides a new source of energy with its doors now open for business. After more than two years in the remaking, Johannesburg now boasts an iconic venue in its arts and cultural heart of Newtown. Situated in the heart of Joburg and SA’s arts and cultural hub, Newtown, it has an atmosphere that money just can’t build and every brick speaks of its colourful history. Lofty volumes of light offer opportunities to showcase significant South African art and bold architectural spaces.
The forum | turbine hall has been designed to accommodate a wide range of requirements and we believe that it is simply the hottest venue in town that literally appeals to all audiences. Like their other venue in Bryanston, the forum | the campus, it has the signature of boutique venues and catering operations for but can deliver to the scale and day-to-day meeting and catering requirements of SA's high-end large businesses.
TURBINE HALL FACILITIES
Facilities include seven function venues and five conference rooms with a capacity to host exhibitions, conferences for between ten to 500 people, dinners for up to 390 and cocktail parties for up to 1000. A trendy up market bar, private dining area, chef’s table and champagne cellar conclude the offering.
