Why I teach
I do believe that all the knowledge I have acquired over the last twenty years in France and in South Africa in the hospitality industry should be given to passionate students who will be dedicated to their profession. Practical “on the floor” training is extremely important and it is one of my strongest abilities. It gives me great joy to know that my experience will help people to succeed in one of the most creative industries in the world.
How do you feel about the hospitality industry in South Africa?
I have been living in this country since 1992 and I must say that the hospitality industry in general has been growing rapidly at an unbelievable pace with its advantages and disadvantages. Skilled employees are needed in order for Hotels and Restaurants to be able to align themselves with international standards and I believe that the Prue Leith Chefs Academy has all the necessary means to educate dedicated and passionate students who will excel in this industry and make South Africa very proud !
