Why I teach
I enjoy working with people and students in particular. I love to see people’s reaction to my efforts whether it is a plate of food I have cooked for them or the excitement in a pastry student that I have trained. I also enjoy the fact that I can share my knowledge and experience with students that are hungry to learn.
How do you feel about the hospitality industry in South Africa?
South African chefs and restaurants are upping their game every day and plates of food are becoming more interesting! We are becoming a force to reckon with and I feel that we are producing promising chefs for the future and can’t wait to see what they are going to achieve.
