    Sugar craft enthusiasts and culinary students.

    This course is designed for those looking to develop their skills in cake decorating and sugar craft. It is suited to those who would like to begin a new business or for culinary students who would like to develop their pastry skills. On completion of this course candidates can further their specialist studies by enrolling for the Advanced Certificate in Sugar Craft.

    • Morning class: 09h00 – 13h00 ( 15 spaces available )
    • Afternoon class: 14h00 – 18h00 ( 5 spaces available )

    11 Sessions in total (including presentation)
    Sessions take place on Mondays – dates to be advised.

    • Modelling paste & sugar flowers
    • Sugar flowers
    • Brush embroidery & embossing
    • Royal icing
    • Piping techniques
    • Cake design – modern and traditional
    • Covering of cakes
    • Fruit cakes & marzipan
    • Final Presentation

  • Dress Code

    You will be working in a professional kitchen, so bring an apron/chef’s jacket, comfortable shoes and keep jewellery and make-up to a minimum and hair tied back.
