Since opening our doors in 1997, our academy has been the start for many aspiring chefs who have gone on to work in famous kitchens around the world. Designed with the industry in mind each of our courses are delivered by experience lecturers who are all experts in their individual culinary fields. Our graduates are highly sought after in the industry with one of our proudest accolades being the regular appearance of ‘Prue Leith graduates only’ job adverts in the classifieds. All the students are supplied with only the best quality of ingredients available to cook with, allowing them to experiment with various recipes and flavours. Our full time curriculum is designed with a unique combination of both theoretical and practical training to ensure that our students are fully equipped for a career in a top working kitchen.
Our onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s, was voted as one of the top 100 restaurants in South Africa. Run like a full working kitchen it is our students who take over the reigns in the kitchen under the watchful eyes of our expert chefs. We often have bookings made well in advance from customers both locally and abroad to guarantee a table our fine dining restaurant.
