Fine dining
at its best

Whether you sip lavender martinis with the object of your affection on the terrace or conclude business deals over roasted lamb rack with moskonfyt glazed beetroot or xigugu ice-cream sandwiches in the dining room, the Prue Leith restaurant is a spot to savour and relish.

Our seasonal menus celebrate local South African flavours applied to classic kitchen techniques and are designed by our experienced chef team. The menu is executed and served by hands-in-training – students completing their first workplace experience. Sustainable cooking is at the forefront of our training, and all preparations in our restaurant are made from scratch – some even sourced from the Prue Leith herb and vegetable gardens.

Afternoon Tea to Savour, Patisserie to Remember

Prue Leith Culinary Institute is renowned for its exceptional patisserie training, and our Afternoon Tea offers the perfect opportunity to experience this craftsmanship first-hand.

Expect an elegant selection of beautifully crafted sweet and savoury creations, from delicate macarons and perfectly piped choux pastries to mushroom vol-au-vents, layered pistachio and lemon entremets, and exquisite chocolate creations.

The experience also celebrates the flavours and ingredients of South Africa and the African continent. Discover thoughtful touches of indigenous ingredients, from chocolate and sorghum pastries to handcrafted bonbons filled with marula cream and other distinctly local flavours.

Complete your Afternoon Tea with a glass of Méthode Cap Classique (MCC), South Afric’s traditional-method sparkling wine, crafted in the same way as Champagne in France, or discover a selection of indigenous Setšong teas for a truly South African experience.

An afternoon of exceptional patisserie, local flavour and refined craftsmanship, created to be savoured.
