    Colours, flavours, textures, lightness and delight! There is far more to compiling a good salad than meets the eye. This course will teach you the art of combining ingredients for perfect salads as well as the magical dressings that make all the difference. From braai sides to main courses or elegant starters, there will be salads on the menu this summer!

  • Course Outline

    • Understand the different types of salads.
    • Choosing ingredients for salads.
    • Composing a salad.
    • The secret is in the sauce – magical dressings make the difference.
    • Salad as a side dish.
    • Salad as a main dish.
    • Salads as an elegant starter.
    • Recipes will cover a wide range from classics like Niçoise and Caesar to exotic Middle Eastern and Mexican.
    • Prepared and demonstrated recipes will be served as lunch or dinner.

  • Dress Code

    You will be working in a professional kitchen, so wear comfortable shoes and keep jewelry and make-up to a minimum and hair tied back.
