“Fine dining” is a concept which may be somewhat misunderstood by the uninitiated, but after enjoying a gourmet meal at our top, multi award-winning restaurant in Centurion, you’ll be left in no doubt about the true meaning of the term – your palate and all your other senses will make it perfectly clear.

We are the only Chefs Academy in South Africa which has its own fine dining restaurant on site, adjoining our Centurion school of culinary arts, where some of the country’s top chefs have been trained since its inception in 1997, a proud tradition which continues and grows in reputation.

Why a Restaurant?

City & Guilds accredited training at our academy is both theoretical and practical, based on the classical French method and cuisine in order to equip students with the internationally recognised and practised standard as a basis for all their additional other creations. However, the practical aspect and particularly that which applies to fine dining, is multi-faceted and complex. It must be understood and practised in order to be perfected, and that is the principle reason why we have established our fine dining, à la carte (and/or function menu) restaurant on site.

Here, the standards of menu planning, ingredient selection, optimal wine pairing, flavour innovations and combinations, food preparation, plating and front of house and meal service are all components which qualify an establishment as being of fine dining standard or not. Our top restaurant ticks all the boxes and is rated as being amongst the top 100 restaurants in the country – a great accomplishment for our training academy, our students and our patron, holder of a CBE, a world-renowned former chef in her own right, a respected food critic and judge of professional competitions, and an author of numerous books

The restaurant building is set in glorious landscaped gardens, lined with fragrant, calming lavender plants, redolent of the Provence region in France, the home of fine classical cuisine.
