Since opening our doors to aspiring chefs in 1997, many of them have done us proud and have gone on to work in top restaurants around the world under chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, the Roux brothers and Jamie Oliver.
Unlike other cookery schools our students receive a well-rounded education in both the practical and theoretical aspects of working in a professional kitchen. Our students are given only the finest ingredients to experiment with in order to familiarise them with a variety of high quality tastes and textures which will prepare them for their careers in five star restaurants. Our full time curriculum also includes an in-depth finance module which trains students in kitchen management. All of our courses are continuously monitored to ensure that our material is always up to date and inline with industry standards, keeping our students highly sought after both locally and internationally. One of our proudest achievements is the regular appearance of ‘Prue Leith graduates only’ job adverts in the classifieds.
At our school students are given the opportunity to get some hands-on experience in our fully equipped demonstration kitchen which is also our onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s. We also offer a range of part time and evening cookery courses for food enthusiasts ranging from bread making and butchery training to pastry and baking classes, all of which are delivered by lecturers who are specialists in their individual fields.
