Fine Dining Chef

Our students are taught how to manage all aspects of working as a fine dining chef in a top restaurant from how to cooking five star dishes to managing the business side of things.

Unlike other chef schools in the country, we at the Prue Leith Chefs Academy provide our full time students with an inclusive finance module as part of their curriculum. This module aims to help our students understand how to do effective menu costings, calculate profit percentages and maintain a stock management system. As part of the module they are also required to team up and create business plans after which many have gone on to successfully implement after graduation. We are also the only school in South Africa to have this module delivered to our students directly by a professional Chartered Accountant.

With regards to the cooking aspect of our courses, students are supplied with only the finest of ingredients from around the world to experiment with. From Iranian cavier and foie gras to French frog’s legs and Belgian couverture chocolate, our students are given the opportunity to experience high quality tastes and textures on a daily basis, preparing them for their career as a fine dining chef.
