Hospitality Course

At the Academy we are extremely proud of our high reputation in the culinary industry and are constantly monitoring our curriculum to ensure that our course material remains inline with the necessary requirements, and keeps our students highly sought after too. As part of our hospitality course our students study a Service Curriculum which enables them to understand that the front of house in a restaurant is just as important as the food served. The curriculum consists of five modules; the Hospitality and Service, Restaurant Set Up and Operations, Alcoholic Beverages, Glassware and Flatware, Tea and Coffee and Leadership. Together they all demonstrate how to carry out the required level professional service required in the industry. During their first semester particularly students will cover the hospitality aspects of working in a professional kitchen.

At the Academy we also offer a range of other full time, part time, day and evening cooking classes for aspiring chefs and food lovers to enjoy. Our onsite restaurant Prue Leith’s is also worth a visit and was voted as one of the top 100 in South Africa.
