A Chef’s School of International Acclaim

Prue Leith Chef’s Academy offers a full-time, 18-month Diploma course. Within 2 weeks of arrival trainees start cooking for the public. At this chef’s school prospective chefs get thrown into the deep end so to speak. As Professional Chefs they will often work under pressure and a good chef’s school will train them as such.

Prue Leith’s chef school curriculum includes trianing in

  •  Cold Kitchen
  • Hot kitchen
  • Pastry kitchen (of Master Class level)

These curriculums teach theories and recipes the students have to master. Students are also expected to create their own recipes which are served in the Leith Restaurant, an acclaimed restaurant located on campus. Part of the training at this acclaimed chef’s school is a financial course taught by professional business people and accountants. Many students have started their own businesses based on what they learned at Prue Leith’s chef’s school.

Prue Leith’s chef’s school is located in Hennopspark in Centurion, Gauteng – halfway between Pretoria and Johannesburg. Accommodation is available through 6 or 12 month leases from people living within close proximity of the campus.
