As well as being used as our onsite demonstration kitchen, Prue Leith’s was voted as one of the top 100 restaurants in the country. We have had many guests book a table at our restaurant well in advance from all over the globe which is most certainly a sign that our students are doing a good job behind the scenes. Besides having one of the best local restaurants in the country, our students are also highly sought after in the industry. One of our highest achievements so far is the regular ‘Prue Leith graduates only’ job adverts in the classifieds. This may be due to the fact that not only do we teach our students how to master their cooking skills, but also how to run the financial side of a business.

We are the only cooking school of our kind in South Africa were this module is delivered directly by Chartered Accountants with some of the topics covered including how to estimate profit percentages, putting together menu costings and effective stock management. Students are also then given the opportunity to get some hands-on experience and put their newly acquired culinary skills to the test.
