Cater

From time to time it is convenient to have someone else cater for an event rather than having to do so yourself. It may be for that special day, your daughter’s wedding, or it could even be for a small private cocktail party – in either event it is convenient to have an outside company carry out the catering. Let us use as an example the wedding, since this is one of the most common times when an outside company would be called in. Well in advance you would have decided on which company you would like to have to cater the event, and your next step would be to set up a meeting to discuss what you would like them to organise. Prue Leith Catering has built up an excellent reputation for organising the entire event, and they have the professional team to be able to do this. In the case of a wedding the can organise:

  • The printing of the invitations
  • The menu
  • Flowers and décor
  • The venue
  • Equipment hire – Marquee, tables, chairs, sound equipment, bar, crockery etc
  • Staff – waiters, bar staff, car park attendants, crèche
  • Preacher and photographer
  • Band or disco with DJ
  • Master of ceremonies
  • Food including the wedding cake
  • Drinks

and anything else that you can think of.

The most essential thing to remember when organising an event such as this is that the organisation should not be left to the last minute. For a company to cater efficiently it needs to have plenty of time to organise everything on a time line. From the very first meeting you will be given a selection of sample menus to choose from. These are just suggestions that cater for a wide variety of tastes. . If you would like to discuss any type of catering function with one of our consultants call Carrie on 082 319 1093
