We supply our students with only the finest ingredients to experiment with such as Iranian caviar, foie gras, French frog’s legs, Belgian couverture chocolate and Italian truffles. This allows them to become familiar with a range of high quality tastes and textures so that when they go on to work in top restaurants around the world, they will have an understanding of five star flavours and know the importance of making a dish not only delicious to taste, but visually tantalizing too.
Other than training our catering school students on how to master their cooking skills in the kitchen, we also teach them the financial and kitchen management skills required in running a successful restaurant. This involves educating them on how to work out profit percentages, calculating menu costings and maintaining an effective stock management system. We also have our students team up and put together a business plan of their own after which we have seen many of them have gone on to successfully implement and start up a business venture of their own. Our in-depth finance module is delivered directly to our students by professional Chartered Accountants making us the only catering school in the country to do so.
