Students undergoing training at our chefs school can expect to walk away with a high standard of education as well as a wealth of practical experience. Our students are introduced to the best ingredients that the world has to offer when it comes to experimenting with various tastes and textures in the kitchen. From Iranian caviar to Italian truffles, this is just one of the ways that we prepare our students for a career in a top restaurant. Students are then able to practice their newly acquired cooking skills in our fully equipped demonstration kitchen and onsite restaurant, Prue Leiths, where it is our students responsibility to impress diners under the watchful eyes of our professional chefs.
We are also one of the only chefs schools in the country to have our finance module delivered to our students directly by Chartered Accountants. During this module students are demonstrated how to prepare effective menu costings as well as have a good understanding of profit percentages and stock management. As part of the in depth finance module students are also required to split into teams and put together a business plan of which many have gone on to successfully implement and start a business venture of their very own.
