Our cooking academy students are educated in all the areas involved in working in a professional restaurant from effective kitchen management to creating tasty menus. Students are given fine ingredients to cook with such as French frog’s legs and Italian truffles, which allows them to experiment with the various flavours and textures that will come into contact with when working in a five star kitchen. Students following our full time curriculum are also given the opportunity to put their newly acquired cooking skills to the test in our onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s. Voted as one of the top 100 restaurants in the country it is our students who do all the cooking for our guests under the watchful eyes of our professional chefs.
In order to keep our students at the academy highly sought after, we are constantly monitoring our curriculum to ensure that its material remains inline with what the culinary industry requires. Proof of our high reputation, both locally and abroad, is the regular appearance of ‘Prue Leith graduates only’ job adverts in the classifies, an accolade that we are very proud of.
