Students who form part of our full time course are trained in the classic French methods of hot and cold foods, pastries, Pan African cuisine and spices as well as Cape Wines. Students also do a module on finance and kitchen management which teaches them all they need to know when it comes to running a professional working kitchen. In fact, we are the only chefs training institution in the country where this module is delivered by Chartered Accountants. The cooking lessons offered by the academy include a range of courses from bread making, chocolate decoration, pastry and baking as well as on how to create the perfect dinner party menu.
If you love throwing the occasional dinner party, the dinner party menus cooking lessons are the ideal way to learn how to create your very own signature dish. This course consists of four options, namely, vegetarian, fish, chicken and beef. Whatever option you choose, you will learn how to make a full three course meal as well as a canapé. These cooking lessons take part in the evening and all students receive a complimentary glass of wine with each course.
