Although we are known as a cooking school, our curriculum also includes an in depth finance module which, unlike any other school in the country, is delivered to our students by Chartered Accountants themselves. This is to help students understand the importance of menu costings, how to work out profit percentages as well as how to maintain an effective stock management system. Our students are also required to put together a business plan of their own and we’ve gone on to see many of them successfully implement their business plans and start businesses ventures of their own after graduating.
When it comes to the cooking side of the course, our students are only given the best quality of ingredients to experiment with. From Iranian cavier and foie gras to French frog’s legs and Belgian couverture chocolate, students are given the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of tastes and textures so that they have a hands on experience when it comes to five star ingredients. This also allows students to understand the importance of making their food not only delicious to taste, but visually appealing too.
