Many of our students have gone on to start a successful chef career after graduating in famous restaurants around the world. We train our students in a variety of culinary areas to ensure that they have a good start to their career with our full time curriculum covering both the practical and theoretical sides of working in a kitchen. Our students are given fine ingredients to cook with such as Iranian caviar, Italian truffles and foie gras. This allows them to experiment with top quality flavours as well as the chance to prepare dishes that are both tasty and visually appealing too. Our curriculum also includes a finance module which teaches our students about all the aspects involved in running a professional kitchen. We are the only school in the country where this module is delivered by directly by a Chartered Accountant.
Our full time students are then given the opportunity to practise their newly acquired cooking skills in our fully equipped demonstration which is also our onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s. Popular amongst locals in Pretoria for fine dining, Prue Leith’s was also voted as one of the top 100 restaurants in South Africa.
If you would like to find out more about the chef courses at the Prue Leith Chefs Academy or if you would like to book a table at Prue Leith’s to experience some fine dining in Pretoria, please do not hesitate to contact us today.
