Food Specialists

We supply our students with only the finest sourced ingredients from Iranian caviar and French frog’s legs to Belgian couverture chocolate and Italian truffles. As food specialists we believe that in order to prepare them for a successful career in a 5 star restaurant, we need to supply them with 5 star ingredients. Students can then put their newly acquired cooking skills to the test in our fully equipped demonstration kitchen and onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s. As well as the practical side of food, our student also receive training in the business side of working in a restaurant.

Our in-depth finance module demonstrates to our students importance of calculating accurate profit percentages, menu costings and maintaining an effective stock management system. As part of this module students are also required to team up and put together a business plan of their own after which we have seen many of them have gone on to successfully implement and start up a business venture of their own.
