We have trained many of our students into world class chefs who have gone on to work in famous restaurants around the world under chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and the Roux brothers.
Our full time course option is our 18 month Grande Diploma in Culinary Studies & Wine which is divided into three semesters. The first two semesters cover a range of modules from hot and cold kitchens to Pan African cuisine, outdoor cooking, service and finance. We are also the only school of our kind in the country to have our finance module delivered to our students by a Chartered Accountant. Our third semester is focussed on gaining external practical experience. To prepare students for their third semester, they spend their first semester in the academy’s fully equipped demonstration kitchen and their second in the academy’s restaurant. We believe that they are then ready to experience what it takes to work in some of South Africa’s finest restaurants and hotels.
Our part time Diploma in Culinary Studies is over a duration of 12 months, allowing students to work and study simultaneously while our three month Certificate in Patisserie offers students an in depth introduction to the culinary world. Whichever one of the master chef courses you opt for at the academy, you can be sure that it will be a wise and flavoursome choice.
