Part Time Chef Courses

One of our newest part time chef courses is the twelve month Diploma in Culinary Studies. Launching in January 2010 students can now learn all they need to know in order to create a basis for their career in a top working kitchen. Delivered at the Prue Leith Chefs Studio, this course is ideal for students who are looking to work and study at the same time. The course includes classic French training in hot and cold foods, pastries and also a finance and kitchen management module. Unlike the full time course, there is no wine studies and students gain their practical experience in the form of preparing lunches and dinners for 12 guests at the chefs table located in the studio.

In order for students to achieve a national level of qualification, they will also do their City & Guilds IVQ in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts as part of the course. Students are provided with high quality ingredients to experiment with and all lecturers are experts in their individual fields.
