Pastry Chef Training

Courses include pastry chef training, baking, bread making, technique workshops and much more.

Our pastry chef training course alone includes a variety of options. Those attending are given the choice to learn how to either make the perfect muffins, decadent chocolate desserts, Parisian macaroons, French tarts, choux pastry or gourmet cupcakes. We also offer a dinner party menu class where students are taught how to master a three course menu as well as a canapé. A complimentary glass of wine is also served free of charge with each course. Attendees can choose from either a vegetarian, chicken, beef or fish dish.

Our other short courses include chocolate decorating and traditional feasts from kitchens around the world. Full time students on the other hand follow a set out curriculum based on the traditional French method of cooking. They also study a traditional Pan African cuisine module and learn about the world famous Cape Wines. Students then put their newly acquired cooking skills in the kitchen to the test in our fully equipped demonstration kitchen and onsite restaurant, Prue Leith’s.
