School for Cooking

Students at our school for cooking are introduced to both the theoretical and practical sides of working in a professional restaurant. All courses include a variety of tasty recipes for students to learn as well as modules focussing on service and the business requirements of a working kitchen. Our in depth finance module is taught by a professional Chartered Accountant, making us the only school of our kind in the country to do so. This allows students to learn first hand the importance of effective stock management, accurate profit percentages and menu costings. As part of this module students are also required to team up and put together a business plan, after which many have gone on to successfully implement themselves.

Since our establishment in 1997, we at the Prue Leith Chefs Academy have trained many students who have gone on to work as professional chefs in top restaurants around the world under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver. This is one of the reasons why it is no wonder why our students are continuously so highly sought after in the culinary industry.
