Having been awarded a Blaizon from the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in France and ranked in the top twenty restaurants in the country and the top ten restaurants in Gauteng by the Business Day, this is where our students polish their skills taught to them and the practical part of our courses can be sampled.

The vision for the Prue Leith Restaurant was to reflect the passion of the Prue Leith Academy and to create a real restaurant from which the students can learn. It has far exceeded this original intention, and is now recognised as the top restaurant in Centurion and one the best restaurants in South Africa.

Though Prue Leith is a training restaurant run by our students under the vigilant eyes of our professional chefs and restaurant manager, it has made its culinary mark in the hospitality industry often getting bookings from overseas for people traveling to Gauteng, even before they get onto the plane. The Prue Leith Restaurant is fully licensed and is open five evenings a week, Wednesday to Saturday.

Our Menus are Dynamic, Delectable and Diverse

Prue Leith’s restaurant offers a table d’ Hôtel menu, with a choice of starters, a soup, main courses including a vegetarian dish, desserts, and coffee and friandise. The menu constantly changes to include new and exciting dishes, and is designed to incorporate the theory covered in the lectures during the week.

Senior students team up in pairs, and are given full responsibility for the restaurant for a week at a time. This is known internally as “Menu Week” and is a source of great excitement as it is the first time such students will be “in charge” of the restaurant. Students are required to produce their own special dishes for the week, which are impressively served in addition to the enticingly delicious menu. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty, and the final result is always outstanding.
