Our curriculum is second to none and covers both the theoretical and practical sides of working in a professional kitchen. Since our establishment in 1997, we have trained many aspiring chefs who have gone on to work in top restaurants around the world under celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and the Roux brothers. Our full time curriculum also includes an in depth finance module which teaches our students the importance of menu costings, profit percentages and stock management in a restaurant. During this module students are also required to team up and put together a business plan after which many have gone on to successfully implement themselves after graduating.
As well as being one of the top restaurants in Gauteng, Prue Leith’s was also voted as one of the top 100 restaurants in South Africa. As it is our students responsibility do all the cooking at Prue Leith’s, under the watchful eyes of our professionals chefs, it is up to tem to wow the diners with their newly acquired skills and keep them coming back for more.
