Earning a certificate in baking from a reputable bakery school is a fantastic way to boost your baking skills and retain the necessary skills to stay competitive and on top of your game in the job market. Here at Prue Leith Culinary Institute, we have various options for those who are keen on baking. Whether you want to bake for leisure or enter into a culinary profession, we have options galore. Let’s explore some of our full-time, part-time, and short course offerings below.
If you want to take your cooking and baking to a professional level and enter the job market with a professional qualification, then the best option is a full-time course in patisserie. We offer students both an 18-month opportunity (which includes a 5-month practical in the Prue Leith restaurant on campus) and a 6-month full-time baking course. Both options will teach students the basics and cover topics such as breakfast patisseries, advanced breads, high tea and buffets, chocolate and confectionery, and kitchen management and design. We also offer the 18-month course on a part-time basis for those unable to commit to full-time hours. Browse full-time and part-time options at our school here:
If you adore baking but are not ready to throw yourself into a full-time course offering, why not consider one of our shorter courses and elevate your skills for fun? We have the following short courses available in the baking realm, and they are perfect for individuals, pairs, or groups.
We also run numerous other short culinary courses at our school covering topics such as seafood, braaing, fermentation, salads, meat, and more. We truly do have something for everyone and every skill level.
